DEPUTY ADMINISTRATOR FOR THE
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY

JANET McCABE
Nominated by President Joe Biden
Janet McCabe’s nomination to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) shows President-elect Joe Biden’s commitment to solving the climate crisis and restoring the EPA back to its core mission of protecting our health and environment. McCabe is an environmental policy and law expert who previously served in the EPA’s Office of Air and Radiation (OAR) under the Obama administration. While at OAR, she was instrumental in the development of the landmark Clean Power Plan, our nation’s first federal safeguard against carbon pollution from dirty coal-fired power plants.
If confirmed, McCabe will serve as the deputy to Michael Regan.
