The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is an agency within the Department of Commerce that is responsible for using science to provide the public with information on our oceans, waterways and atmosphere. This includes providing daily weather forecasts, severe storm warnings, monitoring of marine commerce and other climate-related programs to support our economy, which constitutes more than one-third of our GDP. It is critical that the NOAA Administrator use the best information when developing any tools and planning in order to address the climate crisis and move our nation forward.
